"When you walk in the doors at Wiley it’s always like coming home. No matter what the year, month, week or day has brought your way, you can recharge here and your soul is nourished. This will always be home." - JoAnne, church member |
I began to attend Wiley Church back in the early spring of 2014. Now that it has been four years, I can honestly say it has made a tremendous impact on my life as a person, a father and a disciple of Christ. A few years back, I had heard about this great community of Christians. Mainly from a friend and business associate of mine, Mike, but also reading about it from time to time. I was skeptical at first because I had previously attended many other services at other organizations, and always left feeling empty, pressured and basically the same way I felt walking in. They read scriptures through the Bible, performed similar routines but something was always missing. I also went to 8 years of Catholic elementary school, which to say the least, left me somewhat confused and feeling like I was not worthy of God’s grace. I was blessed with the birth of a beautiful little baby girl in January 2014. And through unfortunate circumstances, my daughter and her mother left our home only a few days after birth. This, to say the least, was devastating. Each and every day I felt an emptiness which nothing could fill, let alone make anything of a positive impact on my day to day life. In addition, I also came from somewhat of a troubled youth. I was hurt, alone and not thinking clearly. I had turned my back on God and felt nothing from him. Read More.... |
"Our daughter is there for her second year and we will definitely be sending our son! She has learned so much and has had so much fun! Everyone is kind and I know my child is taken care of and loved every day that she goes! Wiley is the best!!" - Megan, preschool parent |
"On behalf of my family, I want to thank everyone at Wiley for the care and flexibility in caring for our father. Wiley personnel- administration, social services, finance, nurses, aides, food services, maintenance- allowed Dad to enjoy the remaining part of his life with dignity and outstanding care. The proactive communication between Wiley and our family was phenomenal. The staff kept all of us informed, regardless of the time of day. We asked questions of the staff almost on a daily basis since one of us visited Dad every day and the staff would respond immediately and without delay. Dad enjoyed the staff even though he could not verbally communicate but his "sign language" was just as good- a wink, a thumbs up or an open palm. Wiley was Dad's "extended family" and he was fortunate to have this "family" around him every day. The Christian values exhibited by Wiley re-enforced the faith that Dad always had. I think this was a major part why Dad felt very comfortable with Wiley and its staff. In closing, thank you. Words can never fully express the gratitude from my family to Wiley." -Son of a Retirement Home Resident |
"My mom spent the last 17 years of her life at Wiley, 13 years in a townhouse and four years in your Healthcare Center. Mom's time at Wiley was wonderful. She loved the place and the people. Knowing our mother was in a good, safe place with excellent care was reassuring to my sister and I. My sister and I were both with our mother for the last four days of her life. One of us slept in her room each night and we were both there during most of the day. Your staff was kind, caring and attentive. When they came into my mom's room during these last days, they were often greeted with a smile from my mother. She knew them and appreciated the care she got from them. We wanted you to know how much we have valued your staff. You really have some magnificent people." -From the children of a retirement home resident |
I have been attending Wiley Church since 2008 and was baptized in the spring of 2009 along with my son Tony and daughter Karli, all thanks to my wife Nancy. She had already been baptized a couple of years earlier at the church's picnic at the lake. Being baptized was a huge Spirit-led step in my faith in God and a great chance to be a positive example to my children. At that point, I felt part of the church family and a sense of belonging. Sometimes I feel God put me here on this path for a reason to give back in some way, maybe with the gifts he has given me. I'm just a carpenter and I am happy to be able to help the church family with miscellaneous projects when the opportunity calls. Since then I have become a member of the church and hope to continue in doing my part for the kingdom of God. -Mark Cinelli, church member |
"Billy" has many challenges. He needs assistance with everything: eating, bathing, dressing and diapering. He is totally dependent on his caretakers. Wiley has provided a source of daily activities which "Billy" enjoys. He loves to be around people and enjoy activities and day trips. Wiley provides these and a loving, caring environment which bring joy and comfort to him and his family. "Billy" is happy; this is what we always wanted. He loves going to Wiley and is not happy if he is not able to go for whatever reason. This makes his family confident that Wiley is providing the best care possible. Wiley provides a loving, caring environment for your special needs person and that they can feel comfortable that no other program can provide better day services. |
